Privacy policy

The short version
Your save files never leave your device — the tools run entirely in your browser. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and serves no advertising. Plans you draw in the build planner are saved in your own browser, not on a server.
Save files you load into the tools
The seed extractor reads your world file locally, in your browser, using JavaScript. The file is not uploaded, transmitted, copied to a server or stored anywhere by us. There is no endpoint that receives it. You can confirm this by using the tool with your internet connection switched off — it still works, because nothing about it depends on reaching us.
What is stored in your browser
The build planner saves your plan and your material costs in your browser's local storage so that they are still there when you come back. This data stays on your machine and is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data, or using a different browser or device, means starting fresh. Your choice of tool tab, and nothing else, is held for the duration of a visit.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Y8Q2H64KJ5) to see which pages are worth maintaining. It loads a script from googletagmanager.com and reports: the pages you view, how you arrived (for example a search engine or a referring site), your approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic device and browser information. It does not receive your save files, and it cannot read anything you type into the tools.
Analytics stores identifiers in your browser — the _ga and _ga_<container> cookies — so that repeat visits are recognised as the same
browser. Google states that Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; it uses them briefly to
derive an approximate location and then discards them. Data is processed by Google under
Google's own privacy policy.
You can opt out in three ways: install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings, or use your browser's private mode. Blocking Analytics does not break any tool here — the seed extractor, planner and map guide all work without it.
If you are in a region that requires consent before analytics cookies are set, note that this site currently sets them on load rather than behind a consent banner. Tell us if you need that changed and it will be.
Advertising
This site does not currently serve advertising. If we ever do, it will be through a third-party network such as Google AdSense, which would set its own cookies and may use your data for ad personalisation. Google's own policies would then apply to what it collects. Before any advertising goes live, this section will be rewritten to name the network, the cookies it sets, and how to opt out — including via Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The cookies you will find here come from Google Analytics, described above. No advertising cookies are set, because no advertising is served.
Server logs
Like every website, this one is served by a hosting provider that may keep standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. That is a property of the hosting infrastructure rather than something we collect and analyse.

Children
This site is a set of tools for a video game and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, and in particular we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes — adding analytics, adding advertising — will be described in this document before they take effect, not after.
